My 11-year-old daughter is going to take a school entrance exam next February. She is wanting to go to a girls' school in the suburbs of Tokyo that provides a unified lower and upper secondary school education system. That kind of schools are getting more and more popular in Japan, and I have heard the competition for entrance exams is fierce. But I didn't expect it THIS fierce. Excessive, I honestly think. She has to study hard every night and also on weekends, and we parents have to spend lots of time and money. But there is no turning back now, please wish us luck!
Today I had my new website published. In this blog section I think I will sometimes try to write my diary in English for practice. It will be nice if it can encourage middle-aged English learners and also amuse non-Japnese people who are interested in daily life of an average Japanese. I'm not sure if it goes well, but I will give it a try.
